Misato Akiyoshi received her B.S. from Sophia University and Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 2020 and 2025, respectively, under the supervision of Professor Yuko Takeoka and Professor Hiroyuki Isobe. During that time, she joined Professor Yoko Yamakoshi's group at the ETH Zurich at Hönggerberg as an internship student (2023). She recieved the Incentive Award of the Graduate School of Science at University of Tokyo in 2022. She recieved the research fellow of Doctoral Course Research Fellowships, DC2, in Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) from 2023 to 2025. She became an assistant professor at Kyoto University in 2025. Her research interests include the development of new and efficient nanocarbon molecules and their applications to the design of new organic materials.
